How much is the deposit?

One month’s rent, which you can split into two payments. It is protected with a government-approved DPS insured scheme and refundable at the end of your stay, subject to the usual checks. To reserve a room you pay a holding deposit capped at one week’s rent.

How long does the tenancy last?

Our standard assured periodic Contract run monthly with no fixed end date. You can give notice at any time. Normally, you need to give at least two months’ written notice, with the tenancy ending on a rent due date or the day before. Rent remains payable during the notice period.

How do I rent a room with GladStay?

Find a room and send a request from the listing, then book a viewing. To reserve it, pay a holding deposit capped at one week’s rent and complete Right to Rent checks and references. You sign the agreement online and collect your keys.

Are the rooms furnished?

Yes. Every GladStay room is renovated before being rented and comes fully furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair and storage, so you can move in from day one.
